Anyway, casuals play games primarily to bond with tohers, and don't bother to learn alot of facts/become particularly skilled. They like Guitar hero, Wii sports, Monkey ball, mario, Imagine, Nintendogs, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Animal Crossing ect.
Hardcore gamers don't want the industry to change, expect to be catered to, like overly violent/overly sexual games, care alot about technological capabilities, are very well informed about video games, are very skilled at gaming, and are generally very competitive gamers. |
Guitar hero on expert is hard as hell and ssbb is a competitive game but they both appeal to the mainstream so what type of games would they be hardcore or casual?

SSBB, Mario Kart, Pokemon, Mario, and Guitar hero are all "mass appeal games" as they appeal to everyone, which is why they sell so well. I think they sell to a mix of core, causal, and hardcore gamers.
