Ironically, there are a ton of Blue Dragon pre-orders at my local EB, so we'll have to see.
I do agree there were tons of tedious battles - I ended up avoiding them. However, I think they were tedious since my character levels were real high, and took quite a bit of time to level up. Of course, you do get that attack ring to fight them in multiples (something I never figured out how to do), and of course, the instant-kill (ala Earthbound). So that'll make it more interesting.
And of course, for me, the grinding will be loads of fun with the 10-esque Dragon forms. I cant wait to see what the abilities are to unlock for each kind of dragon.
