Your annoyance is misplaced.  Be annoyed at the media if you have a problem with the Phelps hype and coverage.

Bottom line, what Phelps has done is unmatched in modern Olympic history.  When you have done something as incredible, you will have earned the right to be annoyed.  Until then, you have earned the right to do nothing more than sit there on your ass and watch Michael Phelps until the media stops covering him :P

Or you know, turn the tv off. I was kinda rooting for China since it was supposedly the underdog and I like those but since they seem to be wiping the floor with the U.S I suppose I am taking for them now, gonna be hard without the guy who almost won half of there gold medal though.
