It's still not "official" confirmation that Dark Cloud 3 is on the way (as in, it wasn't announced with a trailer or anything), but it's basically guaranteed that it will come one day. In the interview, the guy says that they're not working on anything for the ps3 yet aside from White Knight Chronicles at the moment, but that everybody keeps asking for the game, so he feels like they have to make it. He also says that Dark Cloud fans will love White Knight Chronicles, and that a character from the Dark Cloud series will appear in the game.
I know this video is pretty old (TGS07), but I've never seen it before, and I'm pretty sure it hasn't been posted here before. It contains a lot of cool information about the upcoming White Knight Chronicles, among other things. ^^
The guy talks a little about the story of White Knight Chronicles, bascially confirming that their will be a full story across the whole game, and it sounds like it will be a main, central story, unlike past Level 5 JRPGs which generally focused on smaller, individual tales throughout the game (Dark Cloud and Rogue Galaxy being the ones I'm talking about - I haven't played Dark Cloud 2 yet, but after this interview, I definitely have to track it down).
He also mentions that they plan to work on the PSP more in the future.
