Disgaea and Valkyria are both very close, and personally I really like Folklore, but some don't. It's pretty cheap now though. $30
In the slightly more distant future you have the PS3 version of Eternal Sonata with the new endings and cutscenes, as well as White Knight Chronicles (lastest RPG from Level 5), and Versus XIII, which I didn't care about till I played TWEWY on DS.
