I think your arguing a null point. The systems are NOT the same graphically. The PS3 has the cell processor, which when pushed will give it the advantage over the 360. That said, Resistance 2 and Gears 2 are aiming for two different things and you are making a very poor attempt at a troll thread.
Resistance 2 is unfinished, unpolished, and extremely large. The game's graphical caveat relies more on animation, on screen characters, sweeping vistas, and massive environments.
Gears 2 (as much as they have expanded it), will still be heavily moderated. The game has great textures but lacks any good animation system at all. That is the red herring of the Unreal Engine. Most people look at textures and exlaim "THIS LOOKS BETTER"- when in reality, if you take draw distance, enemy numbers, bullet counts, dead bodies, ANIMATIONS, and I could go on and on and on- you'll soon find - Resistance 2 has the better tech.
Unreal 3 uses a third person locked camera. It uses bloom to cover up muddy textures. These are tricks. Its a great looking engine, but don't fool yourself.
Its a stalemate, which do you prefer -
A) Open sweeping environments, amazing animation, and slightly less fidelity in textures
or
B) Clausterphobic environments, locked in third person, amazing textures, great character models.
This is a total troll thread.
