Would Microsoft have crushed Sony if the Xbox 360 had had HD DVD built in?

No, MS would be 3rd if it did:

1) HD-DVD probably would have pushed back release date
2) It would cost more, bringing it closer to PS3's ridiculous initial price, meaning that the only difference between them is brand recognition and playstation would have won over xbox in that area.
