if ms took the bullet and added $100 to the price, maybe even took out the low model (which they make less money on), and delayed it; they would have been destroyed by sony and nintendo both.
sony got hit hard by 360 being clearly better and cheaper with a decent library, but without it then the 360 would have been crushed and ps3 would have gotten a lot of those 360 sales. nintendo would be in about the same position.
