Would Microsoft have crushed Sony if the Xbox 360 had had HD DVD built in?

Sony took a big risk with Blu-Ray. In the end, it payed off (I guess). Had the 360 included HD DVD, one of the two console platforms would REALLY be hurting. I'm satisfied with the way things worked out.
