If you like a majority of the songs, it's a better deal than DLC.
Not everybody has their consoles online, so DLC has a very limited pool of consumers. Disc-based spin-offs can sell to everybody.
Easy money.
I'm holding off on Aerosmith and Metallica, but then I might get the Hendrix one.
