| Ail said: ooks like prices are starting to come down fast.
All the mid-high budget Blue Ray released the last 6 weeks or so are now at 22.99$ at Best Buy. To compare DVD titles are usually discounted to 15.99$ the week of the release and then are back to 21.99$. So movies like : - 10 000 BC, The Bank Job, Vantage Point,.... are now only 1$ more expensive in Blue Ray.
A few Blue Ray Titles are even at 19.99$, namely Hitch, House of Flying Daggers, Resident Evil Apocalypse.
I am actually surprised by this and didn't expect prices to drop that fast...

I don't know what Best Buy you shop at, but those prices are completely out of whack. Here is a break down of DVD prices on Best Buy's website:
- $6.99 and under (8649)
- $7 - $9.99 (12291)
- $10 - $14.99 (24710)
- $15 - $24.99 (18068)
- $25 - $49.99 (5886)
- $50 and up (1641)
Here are the Blu-ray prices:
- $6.99 and under (1)
- $7 - $9.99 (9)
- $10 - $14.99 (37)
- $15 - $24.99 (430)
- $25 - $49.99 (338)
- $50 and up (40)
Here are specific examples that I picked at random (these are all the titles I looked up, so I'm not cherry-picking):
Title Blu-ray Price DVD Price
The 300 $23.99 $14.99
Pirates (World's End) $34.99 $14.99
Oceans 13 Blu-ray $29.99
Oceans Trilogy (DVD) $29.99
Here are the titles you picked:
Hitch $19.99 $9.99
House of Flying Daggers $19.99 $9.99
Resident Evil Apocalypse $24.99 $14.99
There's NO WAY you can claim that Best Buy is selling Blu-ray movies at an average of $1 over the price of their DVD counterparts.
EDIT: forgot to include the other titles you picked:
Title Blu-ray Price DVD Price
10 000 BC $22.99 $14.99
The Bank Job $22.99 $14.99
Vantage Point $22.99 $14.99
