You don't choose your mascot, you let sales do that for you. Consumers determine if they like the product not the producer.
Producer: "Eat these tomatoes and like it."
Consumer: "But I like your apples more."
Producer: "Eat these tomatoes now!"
Consumer: "But - but Noo!"
(Tomatoes shoved down the consumers throat.)
Producer: "Whats wrong?"
Consumer: "*choking* I. am.. allergic..." *dies*
Non-Consumer: "What the heck happened here!?"
