It's positive for someone buying an Xbox360, positive for Microsoft because they look like they are offering a really good value warranty but also negative for Microsoft because a copnsole that now breaks down after 1-3 years is now replaced for free and therefore not another sale is not made which is what the consumer might do if it hadn't a 3 year warranty and why Sony's PS2 sold so many; repeat sales after breakdown.
