What was the storyline in Loadrunner? Ghost's n Goblins? Gauntlet? not having a storyline never hurt those games' popularity.
Besides, the game isn't even released yet. Who's to say there's no story?
Just because there's a level creator bundled with games like Starcraft didn't make the user content any less downloaded either.
So i have to ask why all the hate for a game that hasn't even been released yet?
