I don't understand why you're having such a conceptual issue with the idea of the game. If people want to have a story they certainly can, have you seen the commercial with the level on saving a princess? The overall game may not have a story (that remains to be seen as far as the levels given with the game) but each level can have it's own story. I don't see how that's any worse than an overarching story that is almost never touched on at all. Super Mario Brothers was certainly fun don't get me wrong. But emotional and meaningful storytelling it is not.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but not everybody keeps up with information on all games. I was merely asking for just more information about the game because I personally have never heard about a platformer without a story. But that is just me. I wasn't trying to be one of the gamers hating on the game, or saying that the game you like sucks. Just wanted to know if this could be my second reason for me to buy a PS3 (MGS4 being the first).

But thanks to all of your feedback, I now know that this game is prolly not for me. I personally would not spend my day trying to make a level, just to end up finishing it in a few minutes and I would not be able to convince any of my family members and friends to play the game with me. And if there is no good overarching story to it, whether it be as deep as other story-rich games or as pathetic as SMB games, then the only point to finish the levels for me is to see if I can do it....and I personally have a bad history of losing interest in games if the only motivation to finish the game is to see if I can do it. Oh, and I personally don't like buying other people's level design.

But those reasons are just my own personal ones.
