Technically you could do that. I don't know about GAME but here at Gamestop in the US they just give you a card with a preorder code on it when you reserve. You could just cancel later or transfer the preorder to something else if you really wanted to.
I've only played Fortune's Tower and it's pretty addictive. Haven't tried any of the others yet. I don't see them as worth 800 points by themselves but still a fun distraction nonetheless.
