That's one of the reasons I love my Wii: It's getting the most new IP of any other system out there, except perhaps the DS. If you look at the Wii's lineup for the rest of the year, the only big IPs are Fatal Frame IV and Animal Crossing. Many of the others are extremely promising-looking new IPs.

Yes, because the PSN and XBA aren't getting new IPs at all. -_-

I never said or suggested otherwise. XBLA in particular has been extremely successful with new IP, between mega-hits like Braid, Geometry Wars, and Undertow, as well as lesser-known (but still great) games like Cloning Clyde and Wik: Fable of Souls. But there's a big difference between a $10 downloadable game and a $40-$60 full retail title, and the Wii has both HD consoles beat in the latter category. (I should also add, too, that it's no slouch in the former, either.)

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
