I agree... somewhat. I do agree there is a lot of anti-hype however... I do have two "negative" thoughts on it.

Though I do take offense when people call it original. There are games like it on PC.

It's original for consoles but that's it.

Secondly, i think it's fair to wonder if the game will sell well... not because of userbase or anything, but because we aren't sure how it will sell... because these things aren't really on consoles often.

There hasn't been a platformer one to my knowledge. The only ones that have been primarly "build em ups" have been the Fighter Maker and RPG Maker series Which bombed.

Still those games did lack one crucial factor. Online. It's a pain to lug a friend over to play your game.

I'm not sure how the PC make em yourself type games have sold... even the make your own platform games i have no sales data outside of personal and freind purchases.

The Media has been overwhelmingly positive... but it was also overwhelmingly positive about games like Okami.

So I think there are reasonable reasons to be cautious about it's sales. Though the level a lot of people take it to is crazy.

It could be a big hit... it could sell only ok.

I don't see anyway it could bomb though.  It was made by like 37 guys.  If it sold 4 million copies it'd probably be the most profitable game released on the PS3 this generation.
