I don't. It's cheaper to just make one on the Wii and the Wii Japan userbase will be much higher anyway. With MH3 they could familiarize more people to the series on the Wii so there's no point at all to make one on the PS3. I'm not sure a good deal of PS3 owners would care about MH.

Look at it this way. If the Wii is so ideal to develop for, wouldn't we see a Street fighter, Bionic commando, DMC4, RE5, etc on the Wii? There's also a much stronger DS install base in Japan oppsed to PSP, what prevented Capcom from making Monster hunter on the DS?  It's not always about the install base, sometimes the studios want to make the best product possible, and sometimes it's not going to be the cheapest option.

Half of those games started before the Wii came out, Street Fighter could still hit the Wii, and Bionic Commando I'm not so sure about. Those games aren't MH though. MH only has (VERY) limited appeal in the West and gets the majority of its sales from Japan. When Wii sales in Japan are MUCH, MUCH higher than PS3 sales in Japan...what's the point of making a MH on the PS3.

And half of those games started BEFORE the PS3 came out aswell.

Like I said before, the DS sales in Japan was MUCH MUCH higher than PSP sales, but what stopped capcom from releasing it on the DS instead? If the producer decides the next console MH game (after 3 for the Wii) needs a hefty graphical upgrade and the PS3 happens to have a respecatable install base (even IF it's much smaller than the Wii) then that alone would be the point of making MH on the PS3.
