Felt like what you'd see in a shooter mixed in with RPG elements. Second, Sephiroth's personality/character was pretty stupid. He used to be a great SOLIDER and that was cool. Then he learned Jenova was in that machine thing and he was one of those...monster things (forget what they were called) and then he went "OMG! NOOOO!!!! I WANT MOMMY!" and he tried to revive his stupid "mother" who was controlling him and Cloud the whole time and went to destroy the world with a meteor...for no good reason. Also, wow. He killed Aeris. Was Aeris even that good of a character? Not really. Didn't care about her at all. Also, Tifa > Aeris. She was a good healer I'd admit though lol. Also, the game tried to be too Western for it's good and I didn't like that. PLEASE...if you're going to make an FF, put fantasy in it and make it a Japanese-esque RPG...not some gimped Western-esque one. See...I liked FF VIII and IX because they did that (FF IX > FF VIII > FF VII). Instead, FF VII had some blonde haired guy, some typical Western looking women, and a black dude with a gun. The game was also extremely ugly. They were some block characters. Even the CGI looked terrible. FF VIII and IX CGI was well done IMO. FF VII? Not so much. The Shinra were also boring. They were just bald guys with suits on and liked to cause trouble. Whoop-dee-doo. The Sorceress in FF VIII and the whole Kuja and later Necron fiasco in FF IX were very interesting, not some crazy dude trying to revive his alien mother and burning down villages...for no reason besides "IM EVIL I CAN DO THIS HAR HAR." Enemies are supposed to have a motive not "I BURNED DOWN VILLAGE LOLOLOL. IM SO EVIL." Sephiroth is pretty meh. I don't understand why so many people like him. Heck, it was Jenova that did all the work. Jenova is much cooler. Though the FF VII crew are cool in KH I admit. But in FF they suck. |
