The Ghost of RubangB said: Clinton's missile strikes in Afghanistan missed Bin Laden by a few hours. Fucker got lucky. Clinton was closer than Bush ever was to getting him.

Clinton ordered the assassination of Bin Laden later but couldn't find him this time.

People thought Clinton was nuts when he was talking about terrorism all the time. Nobody remembers this because it's been overshadowed by Lewinsky. But the anti-terror budget tripled under Clinton.
Clinton explains his attempts to hunt Bin Laden himself, in an interview, after dooshbags ask him why he didn't do enough.

Basically, the Cole got bombed in the east Mediterranean in 2000, right before the election. Clinton wanted revenge, AND BUSH DIDN'T. Bush did not flex a pinky fighting terrorism until 9/11. Clinton had been fighting terrorist his entire administration. The information was all there for the Bush administration, and they didn't give a fuck.
And then when several foreign countries' intelligence agencies warned us about a plan to attack with planes, we didn't do shit. Israeli spies in Hollywood, Florida warned us, after they were tracking the Al-Qaeda men while they were at flight school, and what did we do? Threw them out of the country and didn't listen. |
Oh, come on, aren't you claiming quite a bit about Bush and the prior 9-11 warnings?

Airports and schools take all bomb threats seriously, but when our government gets a serious warning about a threat of an attack from one of the greatest intelligence agencies in the world, and we laugh it off and kick them out of the country? It just seems backwards to me.
