I was with you until you mentioned FF7. If it was 4 or 6 or even 12... maybe.
They really missed on out multiplayer in FF12. They could of worked out a wicked split-screen option.

The one you mentioned are just....good....while FFVII is a pop cultural phenomenon in the same league as Star Trek, Star Wars, Buffy, etc. Its that kind of thing that changes the game for decades.
