1. PS2 last gen, currently DS. Looks like some developers don't want to get involved in the console wars (or are taking the sit and watch approach) and have scampered off to the handhelds. See: Tales series.
2. DS, definitely. PSP only for those people that want ports of PS1/PS2 RPGs. The only ones I absolutely must have on PSP are the Star Ocean remakes/ports, which I would have preferred on DS.
3. There's Japanese RPGs on the PC. Ys series is a good example. It's just that most of them never leave Japan and are obscure. The only way we got Ys VI was through a PS2 port.
4. Currently, DS. That way no franchises will become victims of the war.
