The ultimate question - Real time strategies or turn based strategies?

i like "total war" type of games: real time that still leaves room for strategy...in other RTS it's usually a question of quickness with mouse and keyboard.

Excluding the total war series i prefer turn based games...also i prefer turn based combat in RPG.
