Actually it's funny you say that because LC was originally a K's exclusive, but GM paid a bunch of money to LC's creator (Hiromi McAmano) to port it over to their shelf space.  There was a big up roar... the response to GM's LC was so positive that they added extra colors...  It was so successful as a GM Cereal that it was discontiued from the Kellogg's platform.
