i can really tell the diferences my tv shows every single pixel on a 480p image. it just looks a lot more cleaner and brighter and sharper when watching a blu-ray not to mention you get to see a lot more on the screen.
I remem watching a film with bruce willis and samuel jackson in, and bruce willis was doing weights and on a blu-ray you get to see all the weights but on standard dvd it cuts that part of the screen off, so obviously just for that reason along blu ray is better
