In halo you never really do know what is going on. You have to go online on the net and read up on fansites to know. Halo has never been about the campaign its all about multiplayer. oh and forge is so much fun. But seriously you should have bought the game its the only reason to own a 360. On x box its about the players you play against and with not the story.
