Halo 3 was my first halo game to play.
Initially I didn’t like it but as I got into it I really enjoyed it.
I would agree with you on the learning curve you are on your own.
The A I imo was very good.
On a side note you can download the original halo on live.
I have it but found it hard to get into having played 3.
