Trust me! You don't need to send a PS3 to sony to be repaired for overheating, i remember when mine did that i left in untouched for a about 5 days, when i switched it on after that time it had been left off i was amazed to see it start up, it been working fine since then i just make sure it well ventilated now, same goes for RROD when my first 360 did that i sent it in to MS to be repaired they sent me a refurbished one which worked fine at first then that got the dreaded RROD, I left it untouched for about five weeks, to my amazement after five weeks not having my 360 i thought id try it to see what would happen, it started up to my amazement it must have settled down after being off for so long, This is true im not bluffing!
