I don't think Sony has any refurb 60GB models on hand to dole out.
Mine's been through the one of the harshest endurance tests I know of (about six months running non-stop, Folding whenever not being used for media play back or games). Probably anywhere between 5000-7000 hrs of total run time. I can still count the total number of crashes on two hands.
If it ever gives up the ghost, it's already done its job as far as I'm concerned, and I'll probably just replace it with a lower power consumption model and sacrifice PS2 BC, which I have used quite a bit over the past 20 months.
That day will make me a Sad Panda.
