There are soooo many things wrong with that sentence... I don't even know where to begin to repute.

let's be fair, if you can't tell the difference between a naive 1080P movie.. vs 480P upscaled DVD.. there isn't much I can say.

 

No, please do. That's kind of why I asked the question.

And yeah, I can't tell the difference and I'm wondering if most other people can't. I know I've asked many people at work the same question and all of them can't except for a single person and he's a huge video snob.

I can tell the difference. It's not as big as people say though for like 80% of movies.

Really if you can't tell the difference... it's obviously not worth it.

Just rent a few blu-rays from netflix or blockbuster or something and compare to DVDs you have.

Then again I really wouldn't pay extra even the 20% of movies that look amazing on blu-ray vs SD.  Don't really care about the graphics of my movies so much as i can see em.

I'll leave that to my friends.
