Did they not notice that they are emerging as the next superpower? or the fact that they moved from third to first world so fast? or how about them over-taking americans in terms of world power in the near future?" Paragraphs like this pretty much sum it up. The attitude surrounding China right now is so silly and full of hype. Is China really going to be so much more of a success story than the British Empire, Germany, Soviet Union, Ottoman Empire, United States, etc.? China is going to be a world superpower, but that doesn't mean that America will lose a good chunk of its economic power. Hype China up if you will. Besides, India looks like it will join the U.S. and China as a world superpower, and it seems to be doing just fine with a capitalist democracy. And many Americans have constantly viewed Communism as threatening simply because they believe it unites every Communist nation under some crazy scheme to take down Democracy. |
It does.... because Marx said so... basically communism and capitalism cant' live hand in hand because communist countries would suffer massive "brain drain" as people fled to the better paying capitalist countries.
People need to be "re-trained" to live under a communist system where everyone is paid the same regardless of the effort they put forth.
The basic idea is a giant workers revolution that conquers the world, kills the rich assholes, then a bunch of altrusitic guys take over the government, set up a dictatorship and retrain/thought police everyone into buying into the "everyone is equal" and "Work is it's own reward" ideals.
Then a couple generations down the line, people are jealous not because someone has more stuff then them, but because someone else is a harder worker, and has a more important job.
Then the government fades away because they really aren't needed anymore, and everyone is happy and equal... and the world is just a better place.
Problem is... you've got to
A. Sacrifice a generation or two of people with the old ideals.
B. Be run by altrusitic people when basically everyone is raised by the old ideals.
Result? The "altruistic" people turn out to not be altrusitic and live it up while forcing everyone else to obey them.
