China isn't really a communist country. It's a dictatorship that calls itslef communist.
Communism is bad because it doesn't work outside of very small collectives. It never reaches the second phase outside of small collectives.
Also China is rapidly moving to be a superpower because it adopted capitalist tendencies and practices. It's acceptence of capitalism is what is spurring it's growth as a country.
Without capitalism... China would still be in the situation it was when it was fully communist. Which if you know someone who lived there around then... you'd know it wasn't pretty.
Well that and a lot of people just feel people should be rewarded for your effort. Most people don't like the idea of a system where the nuclear technician who has to work 60 hours a week gets paid the same as the part time janitor.
That's why Marx himself as well as any other communist leader says communism can't work unless it envelops the world... because most of the people who are working the "harder" more skilled jobs will want to go to a capitalist countries that pay you lots more money.
