I pirated 95% of my PS1 games, 100% of my PS2 and now 100% of my 360 games. To me it is as simple as if I don´t buy pirated games I won´t buy real ones, so no company is losing real money because of me. Games here are so expensive it is impossible for 95% of the people in my country to buy.
However, since now I´m older and will start working soon I will buy a PS3 (when I visit USA in January, I hope) and buy only real games. That way I´ll start contributing to this obsession of mine and I´ll be able to experience something that I never could - online (demos, playing online, PSN games etc.)
P.S. - Also, a really big reason that contributed to my pirating was that up until the SNES era I had places near my house that I could rent games (real ones). BUt, came the PS1 era all those closed down, so I felt (already hooked on my gaming drug and not wanting to go cold turkey) that piracy was my only way out.
The great thing is that nowadays with internet, I am better informed and found that there is a place that ´s not really far from my house that I cant rent PS3 games. So that will help me play PS3 games without piracy because those games are really expensive.
