I agree with you that I/O bandwidth might matter. Again we simply don't know the specifics. However the fact that 2K could use the bigger storage media to load more detailed texture thereby making the game look better is a huge revelation. Think about it, if 2K could do it then they could simply document the procedure and give/sell it to other developers (Sony could buy the process document). The PS3 is going on 2 years in the market and already we see more and more developers figuring out how to use the advantages of the Blu-Ray disc (MGS4 was another game in point)
