(1.)Xbox360 has a higher attach rate each month (since launch) since december 2007
(2.) Xbox360's last month with the highest software sales was december 2007.
(3.) Wii has the highest software sales since december 2007.
(4.) In december 2007 Wii units sold out numbered Xbox360 units sold and the difference has grown to just over 10 million in 7 months.
(5.) The Source did an article on this a while back. Wii's attach rate is lower because of the flawed method of calculating this attach rate (tie in ratio), new console owners bring down the attack rate, since Wii units sell at an insane rate compared to Xbox360 the attach rate unless each new Wii owner buys 7 games with that Wii will always be lower than a system that had an install base of 5 million before Wii/PS3 even launched for as long as that platform is supported and has a contending install base.

(6.) That's why I stoped reading this interview.
Edit - Last time I checked attach rates were used for software sales relative to hardware, the problem is when you have a massive install base attack rates seem to go down, you'd have to assume then that San Andreas sold horribly, I believe VGC tracks it at 17 million copies purchased by consumers while the PS2 units shiped is in the 130 millions section, that means 13% of the people who bought PS2's bought that game.

Looking at copies sold then averaging a particular genre or style would be much more definative, especially if that market isn't saturated. But that's just how I do it.

Halo had a 50% attach rate?

I believe it came out in christmas season, when the Xbox360 was at 15 million units sold, to that date and Halo3 sold around 5 million units. So thats like 33.33E%, heh it sold better than GTA San Andreas did on the Ps2.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.
