@SHUMP, yes, yes, yes, and... yes? I've been playing PC games long before Halo ever existed. And don't tell me that console only stuff, if you've got a blueprint of something, it's not terribly hard to emulate it. The shield thing... really?
Please don't even mention the vehicles in Halo. Halo is NOT a vehicular combat game, just a combat game, WITH vehicles. Did you ever get to play PC games like Desert Eagle or Battlefield? I'm assuming you haven't :x
Halo took idea's that were already around, tossed them together, and created the "Bamf" game apparently. All the while using 0 risk additions. They haven't revitalized anything :/
And another major problem I have with halo is that all the weaponry feels generic, that sense of firepower is absent from the series, and in a genre that spends 90% of the time on the trigger, you'd think they wouldn't forget such a simple fundamental.
Halo's charm comes from the fact that every person in the world can pick it up and have a good time, it's got practically 0 learning curve, and that my friend isn't the basis of innovation or pioneering. It's as generic as they come :/
From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.
