I love that they always get in huge lines for any big game that comes out. I wonder if there's a person who waits a few hours, walks into the store and picks the game up and laughs at everybody who waited.

At Halo 3 launch everybody was in big line who preordered it and waiting for Hours. I walk into BestBuy @ noon and their are about 300 copies of h3 sitting on a huge card table on launch day.

I see no reason to preorder games, or at least wait in line for hours.

The GTAIV line I stood in on launch night was wrapping around the building.  I had pre-ordered mine, so I didn't really need to be in line that night, but I wanted to check out the scene and hang out with some fellow gamers for awhile (my wife and one year old son are not very fun to talk to about games) but I was scared of reports of the game selling out and I could just imagine walking in to pick up my pre-order the next day to find out that it had been sold out from under me.  And sure enough, by the next night, it was very hard to find a copy of the game in the Chicago area.
