How "future-proof" is 2GB of RAM?

an extremely dumb question to ask about ram, when the most important part is the video-card. If you are going to cheap out on ram itself... don't play PC games.. Get a console, it's cheaper in the long run.

Laptops suck for games. Even the best of the best laptop would pale against an medium-low range desktop gaming PC.

Anyway, DDR2 is epically cheap right now. Stuff it with RAM before it gets more expensive, soon I will fill the 8GB that my mobo can support ^_^
