What's curious is how the PSP was doing such a poor job of selling software for so long, then Monster Hunter Freedom 2G came along and exploded the platform, and now it's moving tons of software (in Japan at least).
It's like the hardware was only selling as a multimedia device up until that killer game came out, and once the gamer population adopted it, it transformed into a gaming platform.
