I agree with life sentences as well as the death penalty, I forgot to mention that when originally posting this topic.
With some people DNA evidence proves them not guilty after they're already on death row; thus saving them just in time before they die for no reason.
I was reading something a while ago about someone who was wrongfully arrested almost 25 years ago for something that he didn't do but with recent technology DNA has proved him innocent and his neighbor guilty, so he received compensation for being in jail for that long and let free. Boy I would be pissed if that happened to me.
