Well, I got my 360 back today. They took longer than they said. No biggie, though, as I was playing on the PS3...

Interesting observations: The manufacture date is 6/30/08. That's friggin new, given the time it takes to get into the channel. It does NOT have an HDMI port. It has a 203W power supply. It is obviously brand new as there is NO WAY it could have gone out, failed, shipped back, refurbed, and sent back out again in a month...

So, what's inside? I can't tell very well as it's hard to see through the holes -- even with a flashlight. From what I CAN see, it's different than my last "updated" console. The row of black capacitors that you look across to see the second heat sync (and the little button end from the cooling tube) is different. There are less capacitors, they are taller, and they are gold. Secondly, the CPU heat sync has a label on it that has a serial number and a "rev b" mark. I don't recall seeing that on any of my previous consoles. In general, it seems "different" inside but I don't have photos handy for comparison.

Given my luck with the console (this being #6), I'm not about to tear it open to see what's inside and void my warranty...
