WTH?
Some people are confusing... I find it clear what he's saying but I guess that isn't universal.
Look in his idea and as is the case that many seem to forget, it's also been repeated way too many times: You DON'T need Friend Codes to play other people, his idea is that FC's work in the back ground though - but they don't.
In some games like Mario KartWii your Mii litterally is displayed (Or whatever racer your using.) Your license also appears online which has nothing to do with the games unique friend code but these functions in that specific game don't require friend codes.
Interacting with other racers when you want to is what requires Friend Codes. But that is a case specific to that game.
However you don't need friend codes to play the game online.
(This is my opinion from here on:)
Brawl is the best example of the worst incorperation of friend codes, users get no extra connectivity other than multiman and home run contests by adding each other.
If the Wii was unified, I could play We Love Gold and let's say someone wanted to play Brawl and had my Brawl Friend Code they could message me with a predefined request, the game would save state and I could insert the Brawl disc at any point from there if I accept (Similar to how VC games work.) or I could just decline.
The entire thing could happen without them knowing my Wii FC and the Brawl Friend code would of been much more useful for immediate functions.
Instead you get to have matches and home run contests >.>
BTW I signed up for a Brawl torny being held at a video game vendor near my route. Anyone want to do some matches, just IM me.
Prefferably US East.
I'm Unamerica and you can too.
