I think when most people say nintendo "ruined" gaming (I don't believe that personally) it's because they don't believe the wii-mote is the next step up for gaming (I don't either, but I'm not going to hate on nintendo for being different).
So long as there's a least one competitor next generation that sticks to a almost entirely traditional controller (I don't mind six-axis tilt) I won't think that Nintendo ruined gaming, but if all three start using motion control, I'm going to be pissed. Don't get me wrong, I think Super Mario Galaxy and MP3 were awesome with their wii-mote usage, but I'd like to have the choice of sticking to a "regular" controller and not being forced to buy a wii-mote + nunchuck and then a gamecube controller if I want a traditional set up.
