Blu-Ray sales are not going to just eclipse DVD in one day or anything like that. Since Blu-Ray players are backwards compatible with DVD players, there's no reason for someone to buy a Blu-Ray disk over a DVD, since Blu-Ray players (most of them I believe), upscale DVDs. Granted Native > Upscaling, but the difference isn't as great between an upscaled DVD and a Blu-Ray movie, rather than a Native DVD and Blu-Ray.

And yes, we all know that PS3 is the reason for Blu-Ray's success.

Blu-Ray adoption will not grow significantly until movies stop being released on DVD, and movies won't stop being released on DVD until Blu-Ray adoption grows significantly.

Strange cycle.
