First of how many gigs is the 10k
second vista 32 supports up to 4 giigs of ram so you wouldnt need 64 bit to read the ram unless you have more than 4.
third I would get 64 bit because it is more secure, is not clutterd with unsecure code, and is futureproof(for now).
there is a drawback to 64bit such as no more 16 bit drivers or program support, uses more memory than 32bit, also it is hard to find antivirus systems( for now)
Also your computer pushes more to 64bit side than the 32bit.
You should partition the 10k because there is a chance you will have a gmae that does not work with 64bit
