At this point, anything Sonic is a pretty understandable bet. Even if they're wrong, you can't really blame them. Imagine games? No ****. That's only there to raise the number to 10.
LBP is the interesting one, and I think they're overstating their argument. They don't argue that the game itself will suck, per se, but that the user created content will, and that the game will not be the system seller many expect. In that regard I would agree.
