Frank Miller vs Alan Moore to me is like putting up Crazy Quilt vs the Hulk in a boxing match.
Frank Miller's Daredevil was ok, Dark Knight returns was great... Sin city was good... almost everything else he's done has been a steaming pile of crap to the point of where he's a self parody... and all the misogny is just waaaaaay over the top.
While Alan Moore made two comics that are instant top 10 of all time story arcs in Watchman and V for Vendetta. Of which I believe V for Vendetta was all original characters.
So was Watchman... but... they were heavily borrowed from the Charlton Comics characters. (Dr. Manhattan/Atom, Owlman/Blue Beetle, Rorschach/The Question)
Frank Miller has had his momenets... but his overall quality is just horrible.
Honestly I think Alan Moore wrote the better Batman Story.
Dark Knight Returns and Batman Year one are great... but Killing Joke is better.
No one comes close to Alan Moore.
