I did play this game as a kid and I greatly enjoyed it. I hadn't found it to be that hard for the most part, but certainly not easy in plenty of parts. Especially when there is a trick you need to do to defeat a boss. What part are you at exactly?
I was also kinda confused when I heard about the 260 shooter version and remember reading some things of other people online being confused as well. I haven't played the Genesis version but have heard that it is a good game as well.
If either the SNES version or the Genesis version gets released on the VC, I'd consider getting them. Actually, maybe I'll check and see if we still have the SNES cartridge around later tonight.
