Just when I was starting to get a little bored. Sony public relations came to brighten my day. I think it has been said often enough that the best public relations policy for Sony is to keep their public relations staff locked up behind thick walls. Then have those walls watched constantly by deaf mutes.
What they say isn't what matters it is how they say it. They throw out innuendos, half statements, buzz words, and noncommittal gibberish in an attempt to flabbergast the interviewer. In an inane attempt to cover up their gross incompetence on the subject at hand. Basically instead of having a comprehensive philosophy Sony instead allows for its public relations staff to fend for itself. I sometime suspect that they use persons who have no interest or experience with gaming. A marketing diploma is not a sufficient substitute you must be versed in the subject at hand.
Since their statements are gibberish, but are composed in what appears to be a logical if unorthodox manner. The reader can and will perceive them to mean any number of things. Given the verbal masturbation however its likely to be taken in a very negative context. You can always count on Sony public relations to spout bat shit crazy bull shit. Sony really needs to fix this problem, and if they are not going to hire assets knowledgeable about gaming. Then they should educate the ones they have they are sending them at pillboxes with an olive fork. How can they not get mowed down.
Being honest I think they would do better hiring some pot head gamer to talk up their console then these pompous windbags you couldn't tell the difference between a analog stick and a directional pad. Oh and one more thing this guy somehow forgot about last years memo. The PS3 is a game console first and a movie player second. Saying it the other way around pissed off third party developers. You know the people you need on your side. You really want those people to forget that millions of your consoles were only sold for movie viewing purposes, and that those people do not buy games.
